We’ve set up our business at number 150 in the Shiv Darshan Society over by Yogi Chowk. It’s a bit of a neighborhood feel here compared to the big markets downtown. We use a couple of rooms in the building to do our work. There are always people walking by and kids playing in the society, so it doesn't feel like a boring office at all. We mostly do clothing work, sewing and putting pieces together. Our tables are usually covered in patterns and scraps of fabric. It’s a small team, mostly just family and a couple of neighbors who help when we have a big order to finish. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People usually just hear about us from someone else in the area. We spend a lot of time sitting at the machines or checking the thread colors under the light. Sometimes we have to work late when a deadline is coming up, but usually, we try to keep regular hours. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We like being near Yogi Chowk because it’s easy to get what we need from the local shops. We just try to do an honest job and keep the machines running smoothly. There is always a pot of tea going in the corner for whoever needs a break. It's just a small local place where we work hard and look after each other.
