Status (Fashion) Impex

Status (Fashion) Impex is located at 182-3 in the Jash Textiles Market on Ring Road. This market is always crowded and noisy, especially in the mornings when the new deliveries arrive. Our shop isn't very big, but we've squeezed in as many shelves as we can. It’s a bit of a tight fit sometimes when more than two people are trying to walk through the aisles. We’ve been working from this spot for quite a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. Mostly we are busy moving heavy bundles of fabric around and checking invoices. The desk in the corner is piled high with papers and a small computer that’s seen better days. We get a lot of dust from the Ring Road traffic, so we end up sweeping the floor a couple of times a day. It’s just a regular workplace for us. We drink our tea in the afternoon while sitting on some of the unsold stock. It’s not fancy or anything like you’d see in a magazine. We know most of the other shop owners nearby and we help each other out when someone needs a hand with a heavy load. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s what we do. We don’t have any big corporate plans. We just show up every day, open the shutter, and get to it. Even when it is raining hard, we are here.
