You can find Sri Sai Leela Phone & Watch over at Bhagal on the 10th Cross. It is a small shop but we managed to fit two different types of businesses under one roof. On one side, we have all the mobile phone accessories like chargers and those little earphones that always seem to get tangled up. On the other side, we have the watches and clocks ticking away on the walls. I spend a good part of my afternoon hunched over a workbench with a tiny magnifying glass trying to put a battery into a wristwatch or fixing a broken strap. The 10th Cross is a narrow street and it can get a bit congested when the delivery vans try to squeeze through. We get a lot of people from the Bhagal area who bring in their old wall clocks that haven't worked in years, hoping we can make them tick again. It is a bit of a delicate job working with such small parts, and you have to be careful not to lose any of the tiny gears on the floor. My hands are usually a bit stained from the tools, but it is fine. We have a small TV in the corner that we keep on for the news, mostly just for background noise while we work. It’s a simple setup we have here, and we like the fact that we can fix things that people still find useful in their daily lives.
