We have our spot over in Surat Market, which is right in the middle of Maroof Ganj. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty busy with all the carts and people moving around all day. Most of the time, we are just busy checking the inventory or dealing with the bags of spices that come in. It’s a dusty place, but that’s just how it is around here. We’ve been here for a good bit now. Some days are slower than others, especially when the weather isn’t great, but usually, there’s something to do. The shop itself isn't anything fancy. It’s just a practical space where we keep everything organized. We spend a lot of time just talking to the regulars who have been coming to this part of the market for years. Usually, the morning starts with opening up the shutters and making sure the floor is swept before the first few people show up. It's mostly just about getting the work done and making sure we have what people are looking for. Sometimes the traffic in Maroof Ganj makes it hard for deliveries to get through on time, but we manage somehow. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just find us because they’re already in the market for their usual supplies. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day, honestly. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the stock we have in the back.
