Inovative Mushroom (India)

Our shop is L-46 in the Nandanvan Shopping Center. If you are coming down Sumul Dairy Road, we are right across from Naginavadi. It’s a lively spot with a lot of shops around us. We deal with mushrooms, which is a bit different from the other businesses in the center. It’s a lot of work keeping things at the right temperature and making sure everything stays fresh. Mushrooms are delicate, so you can't just throw them around. We spend a lot of time packing them into small crates. The shopping center gets busy in the evenings, but we usually start our day way before the other shops even open. We have been at Inovative Mushroom for a good few years now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to get around to it. We don't use any fancy machinery for the sorting. It’s all done by hand by our small crew. We know our regulars who come in every week. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to provide good mushrooms to the local market and the suppliers who know us. Sometimes the delivery van breaks down and we have to scramble to find another way to move the stock. It’s just part of the daily grind. We enjoy the work, even if it means our hands always smell a bit like damp earth.
