We are Skega Engineering Company Pvt Ltd, located at 5402 on Road No-54 in the GIDC Sachin area. Being in an industrial zone like GIDC means it’s pretty loud and dusty most of the time. Our building is one of many along this stretch of road. We handle engineering work, which basically means a lot of time spent with machinery and technical drawings. It’s a hands-on kind of place. You won't find anything fancy in our office; it’s mostly tools, parts, and a few desks for the paperwork. The guys here have been working with these machines for years. We start the day early before the sun gets too hot, though it still gets plenty warm in the workshop. Sachin is a big hub for this kind of stuff, so we fit right in. We take on various engineering projects as they come. Some days are slower than others, but there’s usually something that needs fixing or building. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. It’s more about the physical work and making sure the output is what it needs to be. People around Road No-54 know us as the place that’s always got the lights on. It’s a straightforward operation. We just do the engineering work that’s expected of us and keep the shop running as best as we can. It’s just how things go in the GIDC.
