Millennium Textile Market is a busy place, and we are tucked away in E-3231/32. It is quite a walk if you aren't used to these huge markets on Ring Road. We spend most of our mornings just moving boxes around and making sure everything is where it should be. Sitaram Creation Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a while now. Some days the fans don't seem to do much against the heat, but we keep going. The hallways outside our doors are always crowded with people carrying bundles of cloth. It gets pretty loud with all the shouting and the trolleys rattling past. We mostly just focus on getting things sorted and out the door to wherever they need to go next. Sometimes the lift breaks down and that makes things a bit harder, especially when we have a lot of heavy stuff to move up to the third floor. It's just how things are here in Surat. We have our small desk and a few chairs for when friends or regulars stop by for a chat. There’s always a bit of dust because of all the fabric moving around, but that's just part of the job. We don’t really do much fancy stuff, just handle our daily business and try to keep up with the pace of the market. It's a lot of manual work and checking lists. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Ring Road traffic. We just take it day by day and keep working.
