Simora Fashion is right across from the New Bombay Market, inside the Tapti Ganga Market near Sahar Darwaja. This area is always buzzing with people looking for a bargain. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of stuff into it. Usually, you’ll find one of us standing near the door just to get a bit of fresh air. The market gets quite hot in the summer months. We deal with various types of clothing. Most of the time, we are just busy counting items or talking to the delivery guys who are always in a rush. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s the way it is in Surat. We don't have any fancy decorations. Just some racks and a counter where we keep the ledger. We still use a physical book for most of our notes because it feels more reliable than a computer sometimes. We have some regulars who have been coming to us since we first opened our doors. They know we don't put on an act. We just show them what’s new and tell them the price. There’s no high-pressure sales stuff here. We’re just regular people trying to make a living in a very crowded market. We close up around eight usually, unless there’s a big shipment we need to wait for. It’s a long day, but it’s a pretty good life overall.
