Down in the Vrundavan Hotel Lane in Adajan, you’ll find our shop, Shri Laxmi Narayan Watch. We’re at G/44. It’s a quiet little spot tucked away from the main noise. We’ve been working with watches for a long time now. It’s slow, detailed work that takes a lot of patience. Sometimes a customer brings in an old watch that hasn’t ticked in years, and we spend hours trying to figure out why. We have all these tiny tools and magnifying glasses all over the workbench. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. The shop isn't very big, but it’s enough for us. We see a lot of people from the local apartments around Adajan. They bring in their everyday watches for a new battery or a strap change. We also get the occasional heirloom that needs a lot of care. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we’re in the lane near the hotel. We like the personal side of it. You talk to someone, they tell you about their day, and you fix their watch. It’s a good trade. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but it works for us. We don't try to be a fancy jewelry store. We’re just a watch shop. If you’re walking down the lane and see G/44, that’s us. We’re usually just sitting there, heads down, working on a movement.
