Katargam is known for its industry, and we are right in the middle of it at New GIDC. Our office is number 831. It’s close to Gajera Circle, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Patel Nagar is always busy with workers and trucks. At Shiv Fashion, we don't really have a big storefront for people to walk into. It's more of a functional office where we handle the business side of things. It's a bit of a climb up to the office, and the hallways in the GIDC buildings are always full of crates and people moving fast. Inside, we have our desks and some samples hanging up. It’s a practical space. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It’s not very glamorous. The view from the window is just more industrial buildings and the dust from the road. We usually have a container of cold water and a tin of biscuits for when guests come by. The area near Gadira Circle can get really jammed up in the evenings, so we usually stay a bit later to avoid the worst of it. It’s a hardworking environment. We aren't here to look pretty; we are here to make sure the fashion side of the business actually moves along and gets to where it needs to go.
