Shiv Fashion is over at No. 831 in Katargam GIDC. Katargam is a place that never really sleeps. Between the diamond workers and the textile people, there is always someone on the road. Our unit at 831 is where we spend the bulk of our lives. It is a straightforward setup. We have our workspace, our storage area, and a small corner for the paperwork. We do not believe in making things more complicated than they need to be. The mornings are usually spent checking the new arrivals and making sure the previous day's work is ready. It is a lot of physical labor, moving things around and ensuring the stock is in good shape. The air in Katargam always feels like it is full of energy. You can hear the hum of the city all day long. We have a small crew and we have worked together for a long time. We know each other's habits and how we like things done. Sometimes we sit outside for a few minutes just to catch some fresh air away from the stacks of cloth. It is an honest way to make a living. We are not interested in the flashy side of fashion. We just care about the items we handle and making sure the people who buy from us get what they expect. It is a regular job in a regular part of town.
