You can find us in Sachin, which is a part of Surat that has a lot of industrial activity. Our shop is number 118 on the first floor of the Shree Hari Complex in Kansad. Shilaredbricks Industries Private Limited is mostly about bricks, as the name says. It is a very practical business. We spend our days looking at brick quality and coordinating where they need to go. Surat is a humid place, and being on the first floor of a complex means we get a bit of a breeze if we are lucky. The complex itself is always moving with people from different shops. We have been here for a while, and the walls of our office are mostly covered in calendars and notes. It isn't a fancy place, just a room where we get our work done. Bricks are heavy and messy, so we don't worry too much about keeping everything spotless. We talk to a lot of builders and contractors who are working on projects around the city. Sachin is a good place for us because it is close to where a lot of the construction is happening. We usually have a lot of tea and talk about the day's tasks. It is just a normal job for us. We don't have a big mission statement; we just provide bricks to whoever needs them for their buildings.
