You can find us at B-501 in the River Palace Apartment, which is situated on Old Civil Court Road. We are right opposite Jal Darshan in the Nanpura area of Surat. Shamnu Architect & Interior Designer is basically just a group of us who enjoy drawing and figuring out how to make spaces work better. The office is often filled with rolls of blueprints, fabric samples, and half-finished sketches. It’s a bit messy, but that’s just how we work. We spend a lot of time talking about walls, floors, and where to put the lights. Since we are in an apartment building, it feels more relaxed than a cold office block. We’ve had many late nights here trying to get a design just right before a deadline. The neighborhood is pretty quiet compared to the main roads, which helps when we need to concentrate. We usually have some music playing in the background while we move furniture around or look at catalogs. It’s not a high-pressure environment with suits and ties. We wear what’s comfortable and focus on the drawings. Being near the old court means the building has some history to it, and we like that vibe. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby; you just come up to the fifth floor and find us working. It’s a practical space where we take ideas and try to put them on paper without any extra fluff.
