Shaggy Mobile & Suitcase Center

This shop is a bit of an unusual mix. We sell mobile phones but we also have a fairly large collection of suitcases and travel bags. We’re located at number 17 in Surya Nagar, which is the MIG Type area in Chandrapura, right off the main Varachha Road. It’s a bit of a strange combination, I know, but it seems to work out for us. People coming through the area often need a new bag for their travels, and they usually need their phone topped up or fixed at the same time. We’ve got the suitcases stacked up quite high along one whole wall. They take up a lot of the floor space. The mobile side of things is mostly handled at the front counter by the door. It’s a family-run business. My uncle started with the bags many years ago, and I added the electronics side later on. It gets very crowded in here during the holiday seasons when everyone is planning their trips. The Varachha Road traffic is always a mess, so we see a lot of people stopping in just while they're stuck in the congestion. We aren't a polished mall store by any means. The floor is a bit uneven and the lighting is just standard fluorescent tubes. We spend a lot of time helping people pick the right size of luggage or figuring out why their phone won't connect to the network. It's a practical shop for the local neighborhood. We know the Surya Nagar area very well. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us, trying to keep everything organized despite all the bulky suitcases.
