We are located on the first floor of J-509/JJ, right along the Ring Road. If you know Delhi, you know how the Ring Road is—constant traffic and the sound of horns all day long. It’s a busy place to work, but it means we’re always in the thick of things. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the cars crawling along during rush hour. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some sturdy tables, a few chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of boxes. We move a lot of stuff through here, so there’s always a pile of tape and cardboard somewhere. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find fancy carpets or designer lighting. We just need a roof over our heads and enough space to sort through our inventory. The stairs are a bit steep, so we always tell people to watch their step when they come up. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we’re constantly wiping down the desks. It’s a bit of a battle, but we’re used to it. My cousin helps me with the heavy lifting most days. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. It’s honest work in a very busy part of town.
