Salasar Fashion

You can find Salasar Fashion at number 451 in the Azad Shutter Gali. It is a narrow little lane in Lalwadi, tucked right behind the Annapurna Market on the Ring Road. Finding us for the first time might be a bit tricky because the gali is so small. The shop is quite narrow but deep. We have racks lining both sides of the walls. We spend the morning unpacking new arrivals and hanging them up. The Ring Road is always jammed with traffic, but once you turn into the gali, it gets a little bit quieter. There is a small tea stall nearby that we visit a few times a day. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who do everything from cleaning to talking to the people who walk in. The floor is made of old stone and it stays cool even when it is boiling outside. We have a big metal shutter that we pull down every night, which makes a lot of noise. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside the shop just to get some fresh air. It is a simple place with no decorations to speak of. We focus on the clothes and getting them ready for whoever needs them. It is just our daily life in the middle of a very busy part of the city. We leave when the streetlights finally come on.
