I’ve been running Sai Jyot Mobile Shop at Parvat 108 for a while now. It isn’t a huge place, just a simple counter with some stools for people to sit while they wait for their phones. Every morning I pull up the shutter around ten and start by wiping the dust off the display cases. Parvat gets quite dusty with all the traffic. Mostly, people come in because their screen cracked or they need a new tempered glass. I spend a lot of time looking through small screws and trying to find the right part for older models that people still use. Sometimes the tea guy from next door brings over a cup and we chat for a bit. It’s mostly just me here, but sometimes my brother helps out when it gets busy in the evenings. We keep a good stock of basic chargers and earphones because everyone seems to lose those. It’s a decent living. Some days are quiet and I just sit and watch the street, and other days I don’t even have time to eat lunch because there’s a line of three people wanting recharges. I don't have fancy lights or a big sign, just the name on the board above the door. People in the area know where we are. It's just a regular shop doing what we can to keep people's phones working and connected.
