Sahaj Provisions

Sahaj Provisions is tucked away in the Harichand Textile Mill Compound on LBS Marg in Adajan Dn. It’s an interesting spot because of all the activity from the mills nearby. We get a lot of workers coming in during their breaks or right after their shifts end. They usually want a quick snack or some tobacco, and maybe some groceries to take home. The air around here always has that faint smell of fabric and machinery. Our shop is quite plain, just some wooden counters and metal racks. We keep a good stock of grains and cooking oils because those are the big sellers. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a few minutes, but nobody really minds. We’ve been operating out of this compound for a while. It’s not the quietest place, but it feels like we are right in the middle of everything. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and writing down what needs to be ordered for the next week. Sometimes we forget to turn the overhead fan off when we leave. It’s just me and one other guy helping out. We don't have a website or any of that. If you need something, you just walk in and ask. We try to keep the staples ready so nobody has to wait too long. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes.
