We’re over on Saitrapal Mandir Road in Sagrampura. It’s a small shop filled with fabric, poles, and boxes of lights. Decoration is a messy business, to be honest. Our van is usually packed to the roof with stuff. We spend a lot of time on ladders, hanging things from ceilings and tying knots. It’s not always pretty while we’re working, but it looks okay when we’re done. We don't have a big catalog of designs. Most people just tell us what they want or show us a picture on their phone. We do our best to match it with what we have in the warehouse. We’ve done a lot of events near Naliyawad. The weather in Surat can be tough on the outdoor setups, so we’ve learned how to tie things down tight. We aren't a big company with a fancy office. Most of our work happens on-site at the venues. We’re usually the first ones there and the last ones to leave, packing everything back into the crates. It’s tiring, but we’ve been doing it for years now. It’s what we know. We just provide the backdrop for people's big days. Nothing fancy, just hard work and a lot of marigolds and cloth. Sometimes we get tangled in the wires or run out of tape, but we always manage to get it finished before the guests arrive. It's a hectic way to live but we're used to the pace by now. We don't use much technology, just our hands and some basic tools.
