You can find Rupali Collections on Mota Mandir Main Road, right in the heart of Chauta Bazaar. If you've ever been to the bazaar, you know how packed it gets. There are shoppers and vendors everywhere, and the noise never really stops. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We've been here for years, watching the market change around us. The building is old, with those narrow stairs and high ceilings you see in the older parts of the city. We keep our stock piled high because space is tight. Most days involve a lot of moving things around to find exactly what someone is looking for. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. It's hot in the summer, but we're used to it. The people who come in are usually locals or folks who have been shopping in Chauta Bazaar for generations. We know many of them by name. We don't put on any acts here. We just show the clothes, talk about the price, and wrap things up in brown paper. It’s an honest way to make a living. When the sun starts to go down and the market lights come on, that's when it's the busiest. We just keep working until it's time to lock up the shutters and head home.
