Our shop is F-3130 over in the New Textile Market on Ring Road in Surat. This city is full of these markets, but this one is where we have set up our small base. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the different corridors and levels. We have been here since we first started out. It is mostly a family-run operation. We deal with a lot of different fabrics and finished clothes for the trade. The shop is usually full of stacks of cloth reaching almost to the ceiling. It is not the neatest place you will ever see, but we know where every single item is kept. We do not spend our money on fancy decorations or marketing people. We would much rather just focus on the actual goods we are selling to our customers. People come in from all over the region to buy in bulk from us. Sometimes we have long chats over tea with the regulars who have been coming for years. It is nice to have those kinds of relationships in business. We don't try to act like we are some big international corporation with fancy offices. We are just a small outfit trying to get things right. Some days the traffic on Ring Road is so bad it takes forever to get to the shop, but once we are here, it’s just work. We don’t have any grand plans, just to keep the shop running and keep our customers coming back.
