Vishal Fashions Pvt. Ltd. is based at Vishal House, right near Kamela Darwaja on the Ring Road. This is a very busy part of the city, and being on the Ring Road means we see a lot of activity all day long. The building is our main base where we handle everything from the initial designs to the final packing of the garments. It is a multi-story setup, so there is always someone running up or down the stairs with a handful of fabric swatches or a stack of orders. We have quite a few people working here, but it still feels like a local operation because many of us have been together for years. The fashion business is fast, and we are always trying to keep up with what people want to wear. Our workrooms are usually pretty chaotic, with racks of clothes everywhere and the sound of steam irons going. It isn't a quiet place to work, that is for sure. We don't have a fancy showroom for the public; we mostly deal with wholesalers and large buyers. Most of our meetings happen in a small room with a scratched table and some old chairs. We don't care much about the decor as long as we can get the contracts signed and the production moving. It is a busy life, but we enjoy the energy of the Ring Road and the work we do.
