We are tucked away on the ground floor of the Raghukul Textile Market, at D-1435-36. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know how crazy it can get. There are people everywhere and bundles of cloth moving in every direction at all times. It’s a lot to take in if you are not used to it. Our spot is right in the thick of it. We deal with fashion and decor items mostly. The space is packed with samples and stock from floor to ceiling. There isn’t much room to walk around, but we know where everything is kept. We spend most of our time talking to traders and making sure our orders are ready for pick-up. It’s a fast-paced environment and you have to be on your toes. We don’t use any corporate jargon here. It’s just about whether the fabric is good and if the price is fair for everyone. The lighting in the market isn’t the best, but we’ve got our own lamps to check the colors properly. We’ve been in this particular block for quite some time now. It’s a tough place to work because of the heat and the constant crowds, but it’s where the business happens. We just show up every day and do what needs doing. Sometimes we have to eat lunch standing up because there is just too much stock on the chairs. That's just part of being in the market. We wouldn't have it any other way.
