Anurag Fashion is located right in the middle of the Radha Krishna Textile Market on Ring Road. If you know Surat, you know how crazy it gets around here. Our spot is H 582 and 583. It is basically a lot of heavy lifting and moving bags of clothes around. The market is always crowded with people shouting and carts moving through the narrow lanes. We spend our day surrounded by stacks of fabric and different outfits. It’s not a quiet job. We have been in this market for some time now and you get used to the noise. The lighting inside isn't great but we know where everything is. Sometimes the heat gets to you, especially when the market is packed on a Monday morning. We don't have a big website or a fancy lobby. It is just the shop floor and some storage space. Most of our time goes into checking the stock that comes in from the factories and making sure the right pieces go out to the customers. We usually eat our lunch sitting on the stools between the racks. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the market closes at night. The Ring Road traffic is always a mess when we try to head home, but that is just how it is living and working in this part of the city.
