If you go to the Vankar Textile Market on Ring Road, you’ll find us at unit 3074. It is one of those big markets where it’s easy to get lost if you don't know the unit numbers. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. The Ring Road area is always packed with traffic and people moving heavy bundles of cloth. Our shop is just a small part of that huge system. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just how the textile market life is. We keep our fabric rolls stacked up against the walls. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when a new shipment arrives at the door. We do our own bookkeeping on a small desk tucked in the corner. It's not a polished showroom; it's a place where real work actually happens. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused throughout the long day. People come in looking for specific things, and we help them find what’s in our current stock. We know the guys in the neighboring shops very well. We often share news about the market trends over the low walls. It’s a tough environment but it’s our daily routine and we like it. Unit 3074 is our little spot in this massive building. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing so we can go home feeling good.
