Our office is right in the middle of the mess at No. 147 Sagar Textile Market. If you know the Ring Road area, you know how crowded it gets behind Silk City Market. There are always people carrying heavy bundles of cloth on their shoulders and rickshaws blocking the paths. We have been operating from this spot for quite some time now. The room is packed with samples of different textiles, and sometimes it is hard to find a place to sit down because of all the boxes waiting to be sent out. We deal with a lot of paperwork because of the export side of things, so there are files stacked up on every desk. It gets very hot in the afternoons, but the ceiling fans do their best. We talk to people from all over who want different kinds of fabrics, and we spend a lot of time on the phone checking on shipments. The market has its own energy, everyone is trying to move fast. We try to keep our head down and just get the orders ready. Sometimes a truck gets delayed or a roll of cloth has a snag, and we have to fix it. It is just a normal day of work in a very busy textile hub. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a desk and some chairs for when people stop by to talk business or check their order status. It is a lot of work but we keep going.
