Radhey Mobile Shop

Being at Godadara 211 means dealing with a lot of noise and dust from the road, but it’s where we are. The shop is small and filled with all sorts of mobile accessories hanging from the walls. We have chargers, earphones, and plenty of those colorful back covers that everyone seems to want for their phones. I spend my day sitting behind the counter, mostly waiting for someone to come in with a broken screen or a charging port that’s gone bad. It’s a lot of fiddly work with small tools and tiny screws that are easy to lose. Sometimes I have to tell people their phone can't be fixed, which is never a fun conversation to have. We also do a lot of recharges for people who don't like doing it online or don't have a bank card. The shop gets quite hot in the summer, so the small desk fan is always running at full speed near my elbow. I keep some cold water in a bottle under the table to stay cool. It’s a one-man show for the most part, though my nephew comes in to help when things get too busy in the evenings. We aren't doing anything special, just helping people keep their phones running for another few months. At night, I pack everything away carefully and lock up the heavy metal shutter. It’s a long day.
