Rachna Mobile Optical

It might seem a bit strange to have a shop that does both mobile phones and eye glasses, but that is how we have always done it here on Udhna 1st Main Road at 20/30. We found that people who spend all day staring at their phone screens usually end up needing some glasses anyway. On one side of the room, we have all the frames lined up in the glass cases, and on the other side, it is all SIM cards and phone chargers. It makes for a funny mix of customers. You might have someone trying on some new spectacles while the person next to them is complaining about their phone battery dying. The Udhna area is always moving, so we get a lot of foot traffic from the main road. The walls are painted a simple white, though they could probably use a fresh coat one of these days. We spend a lot of time adjusting the tiny screws in glasses or the even tinier ones in a mobile motherboard. It takes a lot of patience and good lighting, which we try our best to keep up with. Sometimes we get the two worlds mixed up and start looking for a phone part in the glasses drawer, but we usually figure it out pretty quick. It’s just us here, working the counter and helping whoever walks in from the street. It’s a steady life and we like the variety of it.
