Started this shop at 43 Steel Udhna Bhestan Road because there were a lot of new buildings coming up and folks needed supplies. It’s mostly just me and a couple of boys helping out with the heavy lifting. The floor is always covered in some kind of dust or little drops of color that didn't make it into the cans. We spend a lot of time just moving tins around to find the right shade someone asked for. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons here, so we usually keep the big fan running near the front desk. Sometimes the mixing machine makes a real racket, but you get used to it after a few years. Most people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood or contractors who are in a hurry to finish a job. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves full of cans and brushes. My ledger stays on the counter, getting a bit messy with fingerprints, but it works for us. Usually, I’m the one opening up early in the morning when the road is still quiet. By midday, the traffic outside is loud, but inside we’re just busy checking stock. We try to keep things simple. If we have it, we’ll get it for you, and if not, I’ll tell you where to find it. That’s just how we do things here. We have been in this spot for a long time now and don't plan on moving.
