R K Mehta & Co is based out of number 13 on Bharthana National Library Road. We are part of the Gyan Nagar Society. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, which is good for the kind of work we do here. We mostly deal with paperwork, taxes, and all those things that people find a bit confusing or boring. The office is filled with tall filing cabinets and stacks of folders that seem to grow every year. We have a few desks and some old chairs for when clients come in to sign documents. It’s a small team of us here. We’ve been in this location for a long time, so we’ve seen the trees on the street grow quite tall over the decades. Most of our clients are local business owners or families who have lived in the society for years. We aren't a big corporate firm with a glass building in the city center. It’s just a regular office where we drink a lot of tea and work through the numbers. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of paper at the worst time, but we manage to get things done. We like the personal feel of being in a house-turned-office. It makes it easier for people to just drop by and ask a quick question without an appointment. We stay busy with the tax deadlines, but we always have time for a quick chat with whoever walks through the door. It’s just honest work.
