We’ve been here at Sagar Plaza for a while now. It’s a small spot, H G 5 to be exact, right by the Athwa Gates. Most days start the same way. We unlock the shutters, check the messages, and get the fans going because Surat gets really hot. Being right beside the Jain Derasar means we hear the morning sounds and see the regulars walking by. Purav Holidays isn't some giant office with glass walls. It’s just us sitting here figuring out train tickets and flight timings for people in the neighborhood. Some folks come in just to ask about prices and then leave, which is fine. That’s just how business goes. We spend a lot of time on the phone. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait a bit, but usually, it’s alright. People bring their kids in, or sometimes they’re planning a trip for their parents. We just look at the maps and the schedules and try to find something that fits. It’s a lot of typing and checking dates over and over. You get used to the noise from the street outside. It’s busy out there near the gates, always someone honking or a rickshaw passing. We keep some water for guests and a few chairs that have seen better days. It's just a regular local shop where we try to get the travel stuff sorted so people can go where they need to.
