City Plus Multiplex, Surat

Our place is at E/12 in Laxamidham Soc, which is in the Manjalpur area of Vadodara. It’s a bit funny because the name says Surat, but this is where we are located. We show movies every day. It’s mostly about cleaning up after the crowds leave and getting the next show ready on time. The floors get pretty sticky from soda and popcorn, so that’s a big part of the job. We have been here for a while and the locals know where to find us. It’s a busy neighborhood. Manjalpur has a lot going on. The building is just a regular multiplex setup. It isn’t fancy like the ones in the big malls, but it works for people around here. We spend a lot of time in the projection room or standing by the ticket counter. It gets loud when a big movie comes out, especially on weekends. We don't really do much else besides making sure the sound is right and the seats aren't broken. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them quickly. It's just a normal business running in a normal society. We don't have some big vision or anything. We just want the movies to play without stopping and for the AC to keep running during the summer. It's a lot of repetitive stuff, honestly. Just tickets, snacks, and movies, day in and day out.
