You can find us at No. 167 in Laxman Nagar, over in the Punagam area. It’s a tight neighborhood with a lot of houses and shops close together. At Krishna Fashion, we deal with a lot of fabric and sewing. The shop is usually full of different colors and scraps of cloth on the floor. We don't have a big fancy showroom. Instead, we have tables where the cutting happens and racks where we hang things up. It’s often a bit cramped because we try to fit as much work as possible into the space we have. Most days, you’ll hear the sound of the sewing machines going non-stop. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage. People in Punagam know where we are if they need something made or fixed. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just walks in through the front door and asks if we can help them out. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running high. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the zippers work. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Every now and then we get a really big order and the whole place feels even smaller with all the extra material piled up.
