You can find us at Lg- 35 in the Golden Point Market. We are right near the Telephone Bhavan on Ring Road, so it's usually pretty easy for people to find Priyalaxmi Creation if they know the area. The market gets very crowded, especially on the weekends, so we try to get most of our heavy lifting done early in the morning. It’s a basement unit, which stays a bit cooler during the summer, thank goodness. We’ve got stacks of fabric and half-finished projects all over the place. It looks a bit messy to an outsider but we know exactly where everything is. The Ring Road traffic is always a background noise we’ve just gotten used to over time. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other days it's quiet enough to actually hear the sewing machines clearly. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything. People just come in, look at what we’re making, and we talk. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We’ve known the other shop owners in Golden Point for years now. We often share a quick meal or talk about the market trends while standing in the hallway. It’s a tight community. We just focus on our creations and try to make sure each one looks right before it goes out. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but it’s what we know.
