Our shop is at S/1017 on the Ring Road. If you’ve ever driven down this way, you know the traffic is something else entirely. We spend a lot of time looking out the window at the cars stopped in front. Inside, things are a bit more organized, or at least we try to keep it that way. We deal with a lot of different styles here. Some of it is more traditional and some is just what’s popular right now. I usually get here early to open up and get some tea from the guy around the corner. It’s a small team here, just a few of us making sure everything is in the right place. We don't have any big corporate backing or anything like that. It’s just a local business trying to make it work on a busy road. Sometimes a customer will come in and spend an hour looking at everything and then leave without buying a thing. That’s just part of the job. Other times it’s so busy we can barely keep up with the folding. The lighting in here could be better, but we make do with what we have. It feels like home to us because we spend more time here than anywhere else. We’ve got some regular customers who stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need anything new that week. It's a living.
