We are at Prathamik Knitwear Private Limited. You can find us at the RadhaKrishna Tex Market. We are on the upper ground floor, taking up shops 1695 and 1696. It is a massive market in the Begampura area of Surat. Nawabwadi is always crowded, especially in the mornings when the new stock arrives and the trucks are unloading. The hallways in the market are narrow and sometimes it is hard to navigate with all the carts moving around. We spend a lot of time in these two shops dealing with knitwear. There are stacks of items everywhere you look. The ceiling fans hum all day long to keep the heat away, though it still gets pretty warm in the summer months. Being on the upper ground floor is better than being way up, but we still deal with a lot of foot traffic right outside the door. We have been in RadhaKrishna Tex Market for a good while. Every shop owner around here knows each other. We share news and talk about the market prices while having tea from the stall downstairs. It is a lot of hard work, lifting heavy bags and making sure the counts are right. We do not have fancy furniture or a nice lobby. It is just a workspace where the job gets done. That is the reality of being in the textile heart of the city. We just keep at it.
