The clinic is over in Mount Avenue Apartment, right across from the Nakshatra Apartment in Adajan. Being behind L P Savani Road means it is tucked away from the heaviest traffic, which is nice for the people coming in. We have been operating out of this apartment unit for a while. It has a good layout for what we do. There is a small waiting area and then the main room where the beds are set up. Surat gets very hot, so we usually have the AC running most of the day to keep it comfortable. We see a lot of people from the local apartments. They walk over for their sessions. We deal with everything from sports injuries to the general aches that come with getting older. The walls are painted a simple off-white and we have some basic exercise equipment like bands and balls scattered around. It isn't a high-end gym; it is just a place to get physical therapy done. We spend a lot of time talking to patients while they do their stretches. You get to know people pretty well after they come in two or three times a week. The schedule stays fairly full, especially in the evenings when people get off work. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the towels are fresh. It’s a standard routine, but it works for us and the people who live around here.
