Pearl Fashions

We have been here at Pearl Fashions on the fifth floor of Golden Plaza Market for quite a while now. If you know Ring Road, you know how busy it gets every morning. Up here, it’s a bit different from the ground floor shops because you have to take the lift or climb up, but people still find us. We mostly deal with everyday clothes and some fancy stuff too. It is usually just a few of us working behind the counter, folding things and making sure the stock is okay. Sometimes the market gets really crowded and the noise from the road downstairs never really stops. We started small and just kept going. We don’t have any fancy showroom or big lights, just regular racks and shelves filled with what we sell. Most of our regular customers come from nearby towns or other parts of the city. They know we are up here on the 5th floor. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have some fans going. Dealing with suppliers and keeping track of what is new takes up most of our time. We aren’t trying to do anything huge, just running the shop day by day and making sure people get what they need. Sometimes we drink tea while waiting for the next batch of goods to arrive. It is just a normal life here in the middle of the textile hub.
