Pearl Fashion is located on the 5th floor of the Golden Plaza Market on Ring Road. Surat is famous for these markets, and Golden Plaza is right in the middle of all the action. Being on the 5th floor means we get a bit of a view of the chaos on the Ring Road below. We spend most of our time dealing with different types of fashion items and talking to traders. The elevator in the building is usually crowded, so some of us just take the stairs to stay moving. It’s a very busy atmosphere, and you can hear people shouting and machines running all day long. We try to keep our space organized, though it’s hard when new stock arrives every other day and takes up all the floor space. We are just a group of people working together to make sure the business stays afloat. There aren't any big missions or grand goals here; we just want to do our jobs well and go home at the end of the shift. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to count or pack for a shipment. It is just the way the textile market works in Surat. We have a lot of tea and talk about regular things while we work. It’s a practical life, and we are quite used to the pace of the Ring Road.
