Palak Tours & Travels is over at U 21 in the Amijara Complex. We are right in the Athwalines area, directly opposite the Jilla Seva Sadan. That’s a big landmark, so most people don't have trouble finding us. Our office is a small unit on the upper floor. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. We mainly focus on booking cars and helping people with their travel plans around Gujarat. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the drivers and making sure they show up on time. The traffic near Jilla Seva Sadan can be a nightmare during office hours, so I usually tell people to give themselves extra time. Inside the office, it's just a couple of desks and some old maps on the wall. We don't have any flashy brochures or anything. People usually just come in and tell us where they need to go. I write everything down in a big ledger and then put it in the computer later. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Sometimes we handle flight tickets if someone asks, but mostly it's road travel. My partner handles the accounts while I talk to the customers. We’ve had some of the same clients for ten years. They trust us because we tell them the truth about how long the drive will take. It’s a modest business and we just try to keep things running.
