Our office is situated on City Light Road, near the Jodhpur Cross Road. It’s a very central spot, right near the city bus stand, so there is always a lot of noise from the buses and the traffic. We have a small space where we keep all the travel brochures and flight schedules. People walk in throughout the day, often just asking about prices or which places are good to visit this time of year. We spend most of our time staring at computer screens, trying to find available seats or looking up hotel information. The phone rings a lot, and it’s usually someone wanting to change their plans last minute. It gets a bit stressful when systems go down or the internet is slow, but we just try to stay patient. The office has a few posters on the walls of places far away, but we are usually too busy to look at them. We have a couple of desks and some chairs for people to sit while we talk to them. It’s not a high-pressure sales environment. We just provide the information and let people decide what they want to do. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up bookings for the next day. The local tea seller brings us chai in the afternoon, which helps when it’s busy. We are just a local team here on City Light Road, helping people with their travel needs one by one.
