Om Mobile Shop

Om Mobile Shop is right there at the Pandesara Sattadhar Cross road. It’s a very busy intersection so there is always a lot of dust and noise coming in. We keep the glass doors shut as much as we can. The shop is filled with all kinds of mobile stuff, from cheap earphones to newer handsets. We spend a lot of time cleaning the display cases because of the soot from the traffic. It’s a constant battle. People stop by on their way across the road to ask for directions or to get their phones fixed. We don't mind. We’ve got a small bench where people can wait while we look at their devices. The workspace is a bit of a mess with wires and soldering irons everywhere. It’s how we work best. We’ve been in Pandesara for quite some time now and we’ve seen the cross road get busier every year. We don't have any corporate slogans. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last customer leaves. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people. We try to be honest about how long a repair will take and what it will cost. That’s about it for us. We just keep the shop running and help whoever comes through the door.
