Metro Times & Mobile

If you walk down 4th Cross on Masjid Road in Bismillah Nagar, you will see our shop. Metro Times & Mobile is at number 41276 in Palanpur Nd. We deal with two things mainly: watches and phones. It is a small place, packed with all sorts of gadgets and accessories hanging from the walls. I spend most of my day sitting behind a small counter with a magnifying glass. Fixing a watch takes a steady hand and a lot of patience. Mobile phones are even trickier because the parts are so tiny. Sometimes I drop a screw and have to spend ten minutes looking for it on the floor. People come in with broken screens or buttons that don't work anymore. We take a look and see if we can get it working again. We don't make any big promises, we just do the repair work as it comes. The street outside is always full of life and noise. You can hear the calls to prayer from the mosque and people shouting to each other. It is a lively neighborhood to work in. We have been here for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk past. Sometimes they just stick their head in the door to say hello. The glass on our display cases gets smudged pretty easily, so we are always wiping it down. It is just a normal local shop.
