MAMTA IMPEX

MAMTA IMPEX is located in the basement level of the New Textile Market on Ring Road. Being at shop number R-447 means we are down on the lower ground floor. It is always incredibly crowded in this part of the city with all the different cloth merchants and buyers. There is not much natural light that reaches us down here, so we have to keep the overhead lamps on all day long. We handle various types of fabrics and textile materials. The air is always a bit full of lint and the smell of fresh cloth. We spend our days measuring out fabric, cutting it, or packing up large rolls for shipment to other places. It is a busy life working in the textile market. You always have to watch out for the porters who are carrying huge bundles of cloth on their backs through the narrow lanes. Our space is quite cramped because we try to fit as much stock as we possibly can. We have been in this spot for a long time and we know most of the other shop owners on this floor quite well. Sometimes we share a meal during the lunch hour if things are quiet. It is a noisy and fast-paced environment most of the time. We do not have any time for fancy decorations or anything like that. We just have rolls of fabric stacked up from the floor to the ceiling in every corner and we know where everything is.
