Little Italy Restaurant

Our little spot is over at 102 Supath Appt, right near Gokul Raw House. If you're coming from Athwalines, you'll see us across from Bhagwati Kripa. It’s not a huge place, but we keep it clean. I spend most of my shift making sure the tables are set and the kitchen isn't running out of things. The oven gets really hot in the summer, which makes it a bit tough for the guys in the back. We serve mostly the same people from the neighborhood who come in on weekends. Some of them have been coming since we opened. We don’t have some big corporate manual on how to talk to people. We just say hello and bring them what they want. Sometimes we run out of a certain cheese or the tomatoes aren't great that day, so we have to tell people we can't make a specific dish. That's just how it goes when you're trying to use decent ingredients. The parking outside can be a real headache, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. I usually park my scooter a few blocks away. It’s a busy life here in Surat. We do a lot of takeout orders too, and the delivery guys are always in a rush. It’s a lot of noise and flour everywhere, but it keeps us on our toes. We just try to get the food out while it's still hot and fresh.
