Srinath Fashion

Our workshop is at Plot No. 324 in the Sahajanand Society in Gadodara. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a home business. We are quite close to the Hanuman Mandir, so we can hear the bells and the prayers every morning and evening. Srinath Fashion is where we spend our days cutting fabric and sewing. We have several machines lined up along the walls, and there are always piles of colorful cloth everywhere. It isn't a high-end boutique with mirrors and lights. It’s more of a busy workroom where we focus on getting the garments finished. We often have tea together in the small open area at the front. The neighborhood is friendly, and people are always walking by on their way to the temple. We don't really do much advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. The floors are often covered in thread and small pieces of fabric that we sweep up at the end of the night. It is hard work and our backs sometimes ache from sitting at the machines, but we enjoy seeing the finished clothes stacked up. We just keep a simple schedule and do our work without any big complications. It’s a humble place but it’s ours and we stay busy with it every single day while the neighborhood life happens around us.
