Laxya International Lace

Laxya International Lace is located in Ajmal Palace at Sitanagar Chowk. Our shop is right on the Puna Bombay Market Road, which is one of the busiest streets you can imagine. There is always the sound of traffic and people shouting, but we’ve lived with it for so long we barely hear it anymore. We have all kinds of lace here, stored in big rolls and boxes that take up most of the space. Ajmal Palace is a well-known building, so most people don't have a hard time finding us once they get to the chowk. The area is full of other textile shops, and it can get very crowded on the weekends. We open our doors early and spend the day showing lace to whoever comes in. Some of it is very simple and some is more detailed. We have to be careful not to get it dirty with all the dust from the road. We don't have any corporate mission or anything like that. We just sell lace and try to make a living. Most of us have been working here at Sitanagar Chowk for years. We know the tea sellers and the other vendors on the street. It’s a busy, sometimes messy way to work, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We just take each day as it comes and keep the shelves as organized as we can. Every piece of lace has its own pattern, and it’s nice to see what people choose.
