Aakruti Fashion is located in the Radha Krishna Textile Market, specifically at B-97/98. If you know the Ring Road area, then you already know how busy it gets around here. It’s a lot of noise and people moving rolls of fabric and big boxes all day long. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. We get to work early because the market starts moving before the sun is even fully up sometimes. It’s a huge place and it’s easy to get lost if you don’t know your way around the different blocks and alleys. We’ve got our little corner and we stay busy with the orders. It’s not exactly a quiet place to work, but we are used to it by now. The tea stalls nearby are always busy with people taking quick breaks from the heavy lifting. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in and making sure the counts are right. Everything is stacked up high on the shelves because we have to use all the space we have available. Sometimes the heat in the market is quite a bit to handle in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. It’s a lot of hard work keeping track of everything in such a massive market. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things get done. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We see traders from all over the country coming through these halls every day.
