Kotak Mahindra Bank

This branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank is located at 7/8 on Vastadevdi Road in Surat. We are right across from the Jariwala Compound, which is a big landmark for people in this area. We are also near Karsan Bhai Ni Chal. The road outside is almost always busy with people going to work or heading toward the industrial areas. It’s a bit of a dusty spot because of all the traffic, but we stay inside where it’s a little cooler. The office isn't massive, but we have enough space for the counters and the desks where we help people with their accounts. Surat gets very hot in the summer, so the air conditioning is usually running full blast. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly local business owners and people who live in the nearby compounds. It’s not a very fancy bank branch; it’s built for work. We deal with a lot of cash and paperwork throughout the day. Sometimes the queues get a bit long on Monday mornings or at the end of the month, but we just try to keep moving. The staff here mostly speaks Gujarati and Hindi with the customers. It’s a practical place to get your banking done without a lot of fuss. We’ve been at this Vastadevdi Road location for quite some time now and it feels like a real part of the local street.
