Komal Mobile & Gift

Down here on Parle Point Akota Main Road 22, the traffic never really stops. Komal Mobile & Gift is right in the middle of all that noise. We deal with a lot of phones and also have a section for gifts which is mostly stuffed toys and shiny picture frames. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when you walk in. Usually, there’s a stack of cardboard boxes near the door from the morning delivery. We spend a lot of time fixing screens or helping people figure out why their charger isn't working anymore. The glass counters are always covered in fingerprints by the end of the day, so we have to wipe them down every evening before we close up. It’s not a quiet place. The bell on the door rings constantly and the fans on the ceiling make a clicking sound that we don't even hear anymore. People come in looking for a birthday present at the last minute or a new cover for their phone. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, things just end up wherever they fit. Sometimes we run out of change and have to ask the shop next door for some coins. It’s just a regular local shop where we know half the people who walk in by their first names. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and we just keep the doors open for anyone.
